The Garden of Soul Threads
Lately I have been researching the Greek mythology of the Moirai and when Kate Belew posted the word witch prompt this week, this poem came through!
German Hand-Painted Porcelain Plaque, "The Three Fates"(late 19th century)
By Friedrich Paul Thumann (German, 1834-1908)
Hedge your predictions; only the Moirai spin fate.
Creation of life is spun delicately, patiently by Clothos.
The roots of one’s life are measured at Lachesis’s whim.
The season of death, Atropos shears, sharp and unexpected.
Here is the garden of soul threads, never forgotten, reused, and reborn.
Growing comfortable in the mysterious void of fate’s tangle will take courage.
Step confidently, following the inner compass, intuition is beyond the veil of fate.
